"Analysis of magnetic resonance images for cardiac function assessment"

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides high quality cross-sectional images of the beating heart; modifications of MRI, such as magnetization tagging or phase sensitization to motion, can be used for further incorporation of motion information into the images. However, extraction of the motion information from these images, for use in quantitative assessment of cardiac function, is still a challenging task (for both biological and computational reasons) and is the subject of active ongoing research.

The Colloquium is supported by generous contributions from the Bloomberg, Information Builders, Inc., and Netlogic, Inc.
